I was taught at a young age to sew by my Nan. She taught me many things that generations have lost along the way. When she was still with us and well, she told me one day that I "was to take the PFAFF sewing machine from the corner of her bedroom." I replied "Nan I never used that machine". She said that's not the point. So I took the machine home and put it in the corner of my spare room. There it sat for 3 years....

Fast forward to the present... I came up with this idea for a company that makes a higher end quality handkerchief. Came up with a name, and started looking into materials and machines. Then I realized that the machine that I had never used, nor had cycled in the past 25+ years, was in the corner of the spare room and did what I was looking for. I tried to use the functions, but after sitting that long they get sticky. So I sent it for service and it came back fully functional. I started messing around with it, made a few prototypes, and learned how to sew on Nan's machine. After a few different ideas, I came up with the style that are currently being offered.

The moto of "one side to show, and one side to blow " is what we are striving for.

I saw quite a few different takes on hanks these days and found that most are a mere decoration. I was looking for something that you can use to sop up tears in hard times, or blow your runny nose and not scratch up your face because of harsh cotton. Our hanks will also serve a purpose of a "pocket square " in your suit, or just to have a fun styled hank that you can keep in your pocket.
